For over 25 years, we've been weaving together Southern charm and Italian elegance to create spaces that feel both grand and warmly inviting. Our story begins with a unique marriage of traditions: Kevin's rich Italian heritage and Leslie's deep Southern roots. This beautiful fusion became the foundation of Bella Homes and Bella Building Systems.
Kevin grew up immersed in Italian architectural traditions, learning to appreciate the timeless beauty of curved walls, elegant archways, and sophisticated details that have defined Italian design for centuries. Meanwhile, Leslie’s upbringing in the mountains of North Carolina instilled in her the art of Southern hospitality – creating spaces that don’t just look beautiful but feel like home.
Our first signature home, the “Maria,” named after Kevin’s grandmother Marie Pagliari, stands as a testament to this vision. Its distinctive curved walls and archways pay homage to Italian architectural excellence while incorporating the welcoming warmth of Southern living.
What began as a dream to build homes differently has evolved into a comprehensive design-build company that transforms landscapes across Eastern North Carolina. Today, we continue to honor both traditions in every project we undertake, whether it’s a custom home, a commercial space, or a multi-family development.
